Cello after the Andrea Castagnieri original from the 2nd half of the 18th century, now in private collection.
This instrument can be played as a violoncello piccolo with a high e-string.
The string length is 64 cm.


Cello built after the 'forma B', the original inner mould Antonio Stradivari used for his most famous cellos.

This photo was taken during the viola da gamba festival of Asfeld in France.
You can see the violone I made in 2006 in the foreground. It is a six strings’ copy of the original instrument I restored in my atelier and which is also shown on this page.
The string length is 82,5 cm and the tuning is G-g .
In the background you can see my copies of a treble viol, a tenor viol and a bass viol, each after Batista Ciciliano.
